What kind of work will I be doing?
You’ll begin as an entry-level sales representative. Our reps schedule appointments to introduce potential customers to CUTCO through one-on-one demonstrations. This can happen in person, in a client’s home, or online. It’s not your ordinary 9 to 5 position, and we’ve found that people enjoy the flexibility and opportunity the position provides.
Are there any start-up costs?
No, we don’t make you pay to work. Once you complete training to become a sales representative, you’re loaned a CUTCO sample set that has a retail value of $425. As long as you remain active in business, you’ll be able to borrow a sample kit for your demonstrations and show potential customers exactly how great our products are. If you eventually decide you don’t want want to continue promoting CUTCO, just send the sample kit back and you’re good to go.
How am I paid?
Our reps earn commissions for sales made. We also offer a guaranteed minimum commission per qualified appointment. This means you’re guaranteed to earn something for each qualified appointment completed, whether or not you close the deal. We pay you at the end of each working week so you can easily see the results of your hard work!
How do I get appointments?
To get started, show CUTCO to people you know to get some good practice. This will allow you to become comfortable with the process and make mistakes without worrying about it. In training, we teach you how to ask them for referrals, or leads, to others who might be interested in taking a look at CUTCO. This process ensures that you’re always connected to a potential customer.
What will my schedule be like?
Your schedule is entirely up to you. As a sales representative, you are able to set your own appointments and determine how many you’ll complete each week. Don’t worry about things like minimum hours or unpredictable calendars; you can set your own schedule week-by-week based on when you’re available to work.
Do I need experience?
There’s no experience necessary. We provide all the training you need to succeed as a sales representative. The initial training seminar is a three day program led by experienced SEC Division Professionals. You can participate in these interactive, fun, and engaging sessions at a local office or online. We also offer ongoing training sessions and conferences so you can keep learning.
What are the qualifications?
Applicants need to be at least 18 years old. Not yet 18? You’re welcome to apply if you’re 17 years old and have also graduated from high school. We look for people who are:
Willing to learn
What does it take to be successful?
Successful representatives are committed, positive, and communicate frequently with their local office. This open line of communication is important because our offices are filled with supportive, fun, and experienced people who want to help you succeed at the level you desire.
How do I qualify for scholarships?
As a company, we award scholarships to students each year. To be a candidate for one of our scholarships, you must be a full-time college student and be among the best performers through a sales campaign.
Still not sure?
No problem. The best thing you could do would be to come into the location closest to you and meet face-to-face with the manager and see the office and staff with your own eyes. You can do that by filling out an application to schedule a time to meet with us.
